FOUNDER (1948-2023)

Born in Minneapolis, MN, Theodore “Ted” Leroy Harrison enjoyed the upper Mid-West for a large portion of his life but eventually chose the much warmer winter in 1973 when He uprooted his family: wife- Patricia, and children: Raquel and Chad, and moved to Phoenix, AZ. But it was not meant to be as the family moved once again in 1975, further south to where we are located today- Tucson, AZ.

While in Tucson, Ted not only grew his family but he became a business man as well. Ted added Christy and Ryan to his family and started Handyman Services in 1980. Handyman Services was doing great and in 2001 landed its first corporate client: Barnes & Noble on Rosemont, which still remains a loyal customer.

In 2005, Ted brought on a partner, his youngest son and also an Eagle Scout- like dad- Ryan. The two restructured the business and changed its name to Commercial Repair Service, LLC. For the past nearly two decades Commercial Repair Service has been the market leader in the HVAC and Maintenance fields in Tucson due to Ted’s vision and hardwork. And just like that another dream of Ted’s is coming true- the expansion into the Home Division for Commercial Repair Service.

To know him was to love him- thank you for paving the way and setting the example of what it means to be an amazing Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Granddad, etc.. Your love and work ethic taught us how to be humble, kind, hard-working, and most of all genuine to all. We love and miss you, but will carry you with us always.

Ryan Harrison took over the family business, Handyman Services, which was established in 1980. Once on board, Ryan and his father Theodore “Ted” restructured the business and renamed it to what you see today, Commercial Repair Service. For years Ted and Ryan worked together building a strong foundation for CRS.

Born and raised in Tucson, AZ, Ryan followed in his father’s footsteps, first becoming an Eagle Scout in 1999 and then taking over the family business in 2005. Ryan spent many years by Ted’s side learning to take over the business, so when it came time, Ryan would be ready to step into Ted’s place.

Ryan is customer centric and expects the best out of his team of highly skilled technicians. Ryan’s passion and positive outlook on life is contagious and allows all of the CRS team to flourish. Following Ted’s death, CRS opened a residential division, taking nearly 40 years of commercial experience and bringing it to homes around Tucson. When not working, Ryan enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, yoga, biking, and Pilates.

Ryan’s sole purpose is to improve the lives of those around him. He is proud to operate a family-owned business that supports many commercial and residential clients.

Penelope joined Commercial Repair Service a few months ago after a long and successful career in Human Resource. She comes to us with A Masters degree in HRM from DeVry University in Chicago. Penelope has called Tucson home for the majority of her life and is excited to help CRS team members and customers have a flawless experience. Penelope prides herself in the details, ensuring that all t’s are crossed, and I’s dotted. She is the ring leader in the office and is ready to assist any with questions.

Penelope has worked in a few different industries, bringing with her a plethora of experience and passion. When not working she enjoys spending time with her children and going to parks. Penelope prides herself on building relationships that will last as well as in the small stuff- the details….
